The Moose Legion has been active the past four months. We have signed or re-signed 13 members in the first quarter of 2017, which allows Hopewell to maintain the possession “Membership Trophy”.
The Moose Legion has held a fish fry with DJ Tommy Chavis, and a shrimp feast, with the “First Class Band” dance. The Moose Legion has also sold their Chicken & Dumplings by the quart. They also sold Vegetable Soup by the quart, thanks to Karen Whittington!
Next on our schedule is BBQ by the pound. The cooking will start at 6am, on October 21st and will be ready for pick up by 4pm. J.D. Langley will be the chairman and the lead cook at this event. Almost anyone at Hopewell can tell you how good the Langley BBQ is, so don’t miss out! We will be preselling,
so ask any Moose Legionnaire for a ticket any time after Sept.15th.
Our next meeting is September 7th, right after the regular LOOM meeting. Hope to see all Moose
Legionnaires there!

Marvin Nester, Moose Legion Chairman

Queen of Hearts
The Queen’s Jackpot continues to grow. This article is written two weeks before the actual “Newsletter” is printed and sent out, but if the Queen is not found during those weeks, the Jackpot should be well over $5,000.00.
The 50/50 Jackpots are growing too! A new $100.00 certificate to the “Boathouse” is our newest prize, along with old ones like: Moose Bucks & Wednesday or Friday Night Dinners.
Come join in the fun and fellowship – every Monday!
